LTTA 1 is an intensive five-day program focusing on the critical interconnections between climate, water, and forests. Hosted in the picturesque setting of Brebu, Romania, this training brings together 30 participants from six European countries to explore these vital environmental themes.

Objectives

Empower European youth with ECO-LITERACY skills, fostering a generation capable of making informed decisions for a sustainable future.

Develop a deep understanding of the relationships between climate change, water resources, and forest ecosystems

Raise awareness about water footprints and sustainable water management

Explore the role of forests in climate change mitigation and adaptationEquip participants with practical skills for water conservation and forest protection


Draft the first volume of the Eco-Literacy Guide focused on climate, water, and forests

Key Activities

    Workshops on calculating and reducing water footprints

    Interactive sessions on the importance of forests in climate regulation


    Field trips to local water treatment facilities and forest conservation areas


    Practical activities on water resource protection techniques


    Collaborative development of educational materials for the Eco-Literacy Guide


    Cultural exchange activities to promote cross-cultural understanding


    Tree planting initiative in the local community

    Outcomes

    Increased knowledge and awareness among participants about climate, water, and forest issues

    Development of the first draft of Volume 1 of the Eco-Literacy Guide
