Objectives

Empower European youth with ECO-LITERACY

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the science behind climate change and greenhouse gas effects

Raise awareness about carbon footprints and strategies for their reduction

Explore the role of industry and renewable energy in addressing climate change

Equip participants with practical skills for calculating and reducing greenhouse gas emissions

Draft the second volume of the Eco-Literacy Guide focused on climate and gas skills, fostering a generation capable of making informed decisions for a sustainable future.

Key Activities

    Workshops on calculating and reducing carbon footprints

    Interactive sessions on global impacts of greenhouse gas emissions

    Field trips to local industrial sites and renewable energy facilities

    Practical activities on developing innovative solutions for reducing gas emissions

    Collaborative development of Chapter 2 of the Eco-Literacy Guide

    Cultural exchange activities to promote cross-cultural understanding

    Development of personal and organizational action plans for reducing carbon footprints

    Outcomes

    Increased knowledge and awareness among participants about climate science and gas emission impacts

    Development of the first draft of Volume 2 of the Eco-Literacy Guide

    Creation of a network of young eco-literators committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions

    Implementation of local initiatives for carbon footprint reduction by participants

    Strengthened partnerships between organizations working on climate change issues

    Enhanced understanding of policy frameworks for gas emission reduction at EU and global levels

    Participants for LTTA 2 have been selected by each partner organization based on their interest in environmental issues and their potential to act as multipliers in their local communities. The diverse group includes youth workers, environmental activists, and young people passionate about creating a sustainable future.
